I love to travel, so I will mostly use this site to talk about my trips and occasionally express my opinion about something that is going on in the world.

It is becoming more apparent to me that the politicians that run this country are more interested in furthering themselves than the people they were elected to represent. I understand that elected officials can’t always see past the next election, but I would like to think anyone who is able to get elected has the intelligence to be a forward thinker who can help government plan for the future.

Keeping up to date on what your elected officials are doing is key to making sure that your voice is heard when an issue that effects you is under consideration.

That said, you should never take anyone’s word for what they say they will do for you. Check into the records and see if they are really on your side. Politicians often say one thing, then do another when it gets down to the final votes.
